This choker or neck ring is handmade using a 12 gauge COPPER wire. It is made to the size of 18 inches. The wire for this choker is hammered to flatten it but the finish is smooth. The choker has been nicely darkened through oxidation and treated with 2 layers of Renaissance wax for protection.

Treating the surface of this choker with wax also helps prevent the skin from turning green, which is often the case when wearing natural, uncoated copper.

Choker or neck rings are always popular because they look sleek and are so easy to put on. They carry any large and heavy pendant very well, allowing the focus to rest on the pendant. The fact that it is black is great, because it can be matched easily with a lot of pendants.
