The items in this Ooh-La-La listing are 3 rings, sold as a set. The rings are versatile and can each be worn on its own or in different possible combinations. The only caveat here is that if you wish to wear both rings with the crystals on the same finger, you will need the third ring to act as the spacer between them.

The crystals featured here are a Herkimer Diamond and a Moldavite from Maly Chlum, Czech Republic.

Moldavite is a type of Tektite. Tektite is natural glass formed by the melting and cooling of Silica sand or rock ejected into the atmosphere after a meteorite impact. Moldavites were formed in the strewn field of a meteorite impact at Nördlinger Ries in Germany around 15 million years ago. Moldavites from Maly Chlum are prized for their deep green color. This piece has a nice apple green color.

Herkimer Diamond is actually a type of double-terminated Quartz crystal which owes its name to its place of origin, Herkimer County in New York, the USA. It is called “diamond” because it is often clearer than normal Quartz and displays a natural faceting pattern. This piece is pretty clear but has some tiny inclusions. It is almost similar in size with the Moldavite.

Both the Herkimer Diamond and the Moldavite are high vibrational crystals. The Moldavite connects to the heart chakra and helps us to control our emotions and to remain calm and collected. The Herkimer Diamond cleanses and energizes our third eye and crown chakras. When paired together, the Herkimer Diamond intensifies the properties of the Moldavite.

The metal used here is sterling silver or 925 silver. The ring bands graduate in size: – 2mm (Herkimer Diamond), 3mm (Moldavite) and 4mm (spacer band). They all have the same thickness.

All the texturing on the ring bands are done by hand. The spacer ring band has a texture that resembles the surface of the Moldavite. The ring bands with crystals have the same, simple textures but they have been gilded with 24K gold foil using the Keum Boo method. The spacer ring is left in its original silver color. This gives the whole ensemble a nice contrast.

Keum Boo is an ancient art of fusing gold foil with silver using heat and pressure. It originates from Korea.
